  • Caledonian Lane

  • Duckboard Place

National Gallery of Victoria

Appreciate Australian culture and arts through various events, activities, exhibits and fairs by visiting the National Gallery of Victoria, or NGV for short.

NGV actually has two divisions:

  • NGV Australia showcases artwork and collections specifically from Australian artists

  • NGV International showcases art from all over the world

NGV Australia is located at Fed Square, while NGV International is located a short five-minute walk over the Princes Bridge, right on Southbank.

There’s always something going on at both galleries, so make sure you click here to see what’s happening when you visit Melbourne!

Think Melbourne, and it’s likely your mind immediately jumps to the eclectic structure and glass walled atrium of Federation Square.

Better known to locals as Fed Square (Aussies really do love shortening words as much as they can!), this venue is known for a range of art, culture, and public events.

The venue itself is always hosting various events, while the square is home to a number of restaurants, bars, and the Melbourne Visitor Centre.
