Moonlight Cinema in the Botanic Gardens

Where: Royal Botanic Gardens
When: 29 November - 31 March

If you find yourself in Melbourne and are looking for something unique to do, look no further than this summer staple!

Movies are being screened by moonlight at the Botanic Gardens until the end of March. The films screening will include new releases like Mary Poppins Returns and The Green Book as well as classics like The Devil Wears Prada and 10 Things I Hate About You.

So jump in while the weather is still warm and purchase your tickets to the movie you most want to see! Tickets are available for purchase on the Moonlight Cinema website.

Melbourne Women in Film Festival

Where: ACMI at Federation Square
When: Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th February

The Melbourne Women in Film Festival (MWFF) is back this Summer to help celebrate the achievements of women in film.

The mission of the MWFF is to work towards diversity and gender equality in Australian film by creating dialogue between both the audience and the film industry itself.

The event is open to all ages and features an array of documentaries, genre film, speeches and shorts.

In addition, over the four days Melbourne audiences will be treated to panel discussions and Q&As featuring emerging and established women in film.

Take advantage of the last of the warm summer nights Melbourne has to offer by making your way over to the Queen Vic Night Market.

There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained throughout the night including chess, jenga and totem tennis. A line up music is promised by the likes of The Slip Dixies, Orquesta La45 and DJ Elle.

In addition, the Queen Vic Night Market boasts a range of street food stalls as well as 100 unique shopping stalls.

Pop Up Summer Market in South Yarra

Where: Chapel Street and Chapel Lane
When: Until 27th April
Time: Every Saturday from 10am to 4pm

Every Saturday since November a pop up market has appeared on Chapel Street, filled with live music and all your fashion, lifestyle, art and food needs.

Each month the market features a different independent brand and gives a leg up to the little guy.

Just off Chapel Street in Chapel Lane you will find more exciting markets. Chapel Lane will be filled with ethical and sustainable products made by local designers and artists.

It’s the perfect detour for anyone who has their eye on the environment but still wants to find practical products they can use and enjoy.

Tramming to Chapel Street
